Who Are We?

What are you doing here?
We have a real site as of 3-3-2012!
Trust us, it looks and feels better there!
MCDen @ Mine-Craft-Den.com

Other than just another random creative and survival server, we aim to do things differently than other servers dare: Allow and Do more than those pesky instructions say.

Join us on our server either by the game itself, or in Dynmap. We are running MineCraft 1.4.7 with Craftbukkit/Spigot and Spout. Spout Craft is Optional, But Preferred.

Stuck with Diablo III, keeping MC up to date

With Diablo III being released, I've been playing it while doing other lively stuff such as work. I have returned to the server do some work. I have added a group between Guests and Members. This group is set up to allow people who join the server some Member permissions and begin playing on the server. These permissions are the basics for editing the around around them and some functions of some plugins. They can edit the area around them, while not being able to edit what is protected. They are also unable to empty buckets. So flooding with water or lava is impossible.

To be granted these limited permissions, a guest joins the server. Reads the server /rules, then /agree. They will then be granted Accepted status. Then, and only then, a server /staff member must promote them to full Membership. A server /staff member is also required to ask the new member a specific question. If they answer is not within required boundaries, the user is demoted to PermGuest. If the Accepted member read and is following the server /rules, there will be no problems. This question is related to the rules and is in no way complex to follow.

I planned this to be a feature that can be used when the server is inactive, which it has for a while since college has ended for the semester and summer has kicked in.

Where'd I Go?

With the college year being over with, work, moving rooms, and plain laziness, I haven't bothered to post on here in a while. Though I have been on the server.

MetaVerse is now the main World. Earth and it's linking worlds are currently 'Not-Loaded' but an admin can load them if a player needs to access them within reason.

I have been tweaking some plugins and made a major change. SpoutCraft is No Longer Required to be a Member or higher on the server. Though without the user using SpoutCraft, they are left without the functions and features at hand. Such as menus, displays, capes, etc.

I have made some minor tweaks to the rules to reflect the change in SpoutCraft, along with updating where the server is listed on other sites. I have noticed little to voting. Do I need to add something to make it more enticing to vote for the server? Maybe once we get Citizens working, if you voted that day, you have access to the space ship for the admin shops and portals. I'll think of a way for that.

I have been looking at a new spout-client, for my own amusement, Technic which has a bundle of other SSP mods installed for use. It's not as updated as the normal SpoutClient, but with the other mods, it's a lot of fun. They also have a feature for SMP, which I'm thinking of running my own server, not listed on other sites or such, just to play around with the little mods that it comes with. A Technic Server per say. I will also link the Online server with the technic server I plan to run with BukkitLink to link the chat.

If there is anything else I missed, I'll add to the bottom here later today, or more posts in the following days.
