Who Are We?

What are you doing here?
We have a real site as of 3-3-2012!
Trust us, it looks and feels better there!
MCDen @ Mine-Craft-Den.com

Other than just another random creative and survival server, we aim to do things differently than other servers dare: Allow and Do more than those pesky instructions say.

Join us on our server either by the game itself, or in Dynmap. We are running MineCraft 1.4.7 with Craftbukkit/Spigot and Spout. Spout Craft is Optional, But Preferred.

It's a messy, why clean up if you can start clean?

The topic of setting up new worlds when 1.9 is being discussed on the Facebook. So far it looks like we are recreating the world Earth, moving the structures over from the old to the new, and some of the structures from the creative world as well. Once the new worlds are moved over, we are locking down the old worlds and allow them to be downloaded for other servers or single player use.

I am right now constructing a new server on my computer. I have gone through CraftBukkit and downloaded what plugins are still being maintained, removing some unused plugins, and adding some new ones. I have not ran the server as of yet, but I think implementing Spout would make things interesting. No the server will not require you to have spoutCraft installed on your client, but you would be missing out on the features, not only what the server will have, but what the client side adds as well.

A good example of what it would help is for slow computers. You have extra options to turn off details that you don't want. Clouds, fog, etc.

Zonealarm + MC Client No Work?

I've been fed up with not being able to use the MC client since I updated my ZoneAlarm firewall. Just found the fix:

I'm using ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite 10.0.250.000 and I just found the fix.
Bring up ZA's "Monitor" and go to computer.
Click Advanced Firewall and under current Settings, have the public set to Med.
No need to close the ZA window, just reopen MC Client and the news feed should load.

My assumption is, if you have either trusted or public connection in use, let say you were on a wifi set up public, you need to have that setting on Med or you can't play MC through the client.

It's back and better!

The server has been up since late last night and still running. Right after this post I'm going to update the server to the current recommended build of CraftBukkit.

I'm already looking forward to the next MC update. All details of MC 1.9 is posted on the MineCraftForums.net home page. Go out and make your snowmen army today!

http://www.minecraftforum.net/news/230-19-is-out/

Note: Backup your MC files for 1.8.1 if you want to play on other servers that are not running 1.9, including the MCDen server.

When MC is updated to 1.9 along with CB, I will make necessary changes to the world Earth to update it to 1.9 map generation and copy all player changes to it.

Where'd the server run off to?

The server is down due to hardware malfunctions. Until I get a notice from HGS stating the system is running, no one will have access to the server. Once I get word that the server is up, I'll start the MC up and update to the new Recommended version of CB.

"There have been problems, the mother board wasnt able to recognize the drives. Which we fixed, but then when we were installing there were errors happening. So we got a new drive and reinstalling it now."

What happen to the news?

It's been a while since I made a post. The server is running a non-recommended version of CraftBukkit and for the time being, it's stable.

I've been busy with college, friends, family, and built a computer for my niece who is getting married in October. They wanted a decent gaming computer, so I spent about $1k on parts and made one. Not liquid cooling. If I wanted to do that, I'd experiment with my own stuff first. I never done liquid cooling before.

In other news. For the past couple weeks or so, I've been working on a Halo Reach Forge World Map for my friends and I on our Monday Game Nights. This is no simple task, but I'm sure someone else has attempted doing what I've been working on. I'm not using a small portion of forge world, I'm using every bit of it that I can.
The map is set up for either Free-For-All Sniping, Team/Multi-Team Slayer/Sniping. It is best with having at least 8-16 players. Preferably 12.
The map is still a work in progress, but so far the base idea is done. Evening out the playing field of team bases and weapon distribution is a bit challenging.

When I can get Blue and Red team evened out on weapons and area, I might release a beta version to the public. Until then. The Red team has a high advantage while Blue's area is far too large.

Changing out the oil and replacing the worn out parts, Wait, what happen here?

It's labor day weekend, been catching up on a few things and thought I'd check the server for any issues and update some stuff, like Craftbukkit.
I decided to check the server console and the first thing I see is someone signing in and trying to give themselves items. This isn't the first, but a lot of new comers do this, which is annoying, but at the same time, funny.

The server is set to show all commands typed ingame to be shown in the server log. No one seems to check the rules. It's always people wanting to cheat.
I feel like I need to set in a newb spawn, and if new people don't bother to check the rules and acknowledge stuff, they might as well leave. lol
I don't plan to do this anytime soon though.
